At Talbot Trees we have a wealth of experience enabling us to remove and bring tree limbs safely to the ground. Tree removal may sometimes appear impossible due to the surroundings and proximity of buildings however, at Talbot Trees we regularlyn make the impossible possible by co-coordinating specialist techniques in tree dismantlement.

Talbot Trees offer a variety of tree services  

Crown Thinning-  This is the removal of a portion of minor/tertiary branches, usually at the outer crown,  producing a uniform concentration of foliage around an evenly spaced branch structure. This allows light and more air through the tree, and the surrounding area, resulting in a healthier tree. 

Crown Lifting- Crown lifting is the removal of lower branches, clearing the main trunk of epicormic shoots as an effective method of increasing light transmission to areas closer to the tree, to enable access under the crown and improve the tree aesthetically. 

Crown Reduction- This reduces the height and spread of the tree resulting in the overall size of the crown condensing. Crown reduction is suitable to decrease the risk from wind damage and any weak branches identified within the tree. 

Selective Pruning- This targets individual areas or limbs of the tree that may pose a possible risk to neighbouring trees or buildings or block access of light or movement. This service can meet individual customers' specific requirement in the finished appearance of the tree. 

Pollarding- This service is the removal of the main branches to specific points to enable new epicormic shoots to encourage multistem branching.   

Section Felling- This is a highly skilled service to dismantle a tree in a safe, controlled method within a difficult environment. This is done by using ropes and rigging techniques to carefully lower to the ground branches and main trunk sections.

Felling/Dismantling- This service is the removal of a tree in a safe professional manner either by it being taken down as a whole or by being divided in to bigger sections. 

Stump Grinding- When a tree is removed the stump and roots can be taken out completely enabling the opportunity for new planting or creating space within the environment. 

Bracing- This service provides support to weak or damaged parts of the tree using specialised rope systems that remain in the tree permanently. This is used to sustain areas of the tree to maintain and increase the overall health of the tree.

Talbot Trees offer a complete hedging service, whether it is regularly maintaining existing hedges or cutting and shaping untamed hedges, bushes and shrubs.  We regularly work with hedge species such as Beech, Hornbeam, Box, Privet, Yew, Cherry, Laurel, Leyllandii, Holly, Blackthorn, Hawthorn and Berberis.

We can create a package of care individual to your garden which can include regular lawn mowing, strimming, hedge trimming and tree surgery. We take pride in clearing up after our work and always leave the site tidy so you can enjoy and appreciate our work and your new improved garden immediately. 

You may like to consider a full or half-day "garden blitz" where we do as much weeding, tidying, mowing, strimming, trimming and general maintenance as we can in the time available.
